Am applying for ILR around 15th May but planning to travel to USA on 27th April and will be back on 1st May to visit my wife. Will this travel jeopadize my application?


Secondly I will want my wife to join after I have gotten my settelement and will this visit help in any way to strenthen her application. We've been married for 8 months now and I visit her every other month.


I have spent less than 180 days outside UK in the past 5 years so that is not an issue

redviv: as long as you have a valid visa when you return to the UK (which you will have), it will have no affect on your ILR application.

You have already taken care of 180 days rule, so you will be fine.
