ILR - Aug2012 - Dependant Child born in UK

Hi,
I'm new to this site and forum so please forgive my ignorance if I'm not following any house rules here.
I'm due for my ILR in Aug-12 and I switched from work permit to Tier-1 General in Sep-2010. I was in a permanent employment until July-2011 and since then have been working through my own limited company as a contractor.
I have some questions which I hope someone will be able to help with answers
1> When I switched from work permit to Tier-1 in Sep-10 I showed my gross annual salary to gain points however with my ltd company I draw a minimum salary and the rest as dividends but to gain points for ILR should I include gross dividends or the net dividends ? Im trying to draw more dividends between now and July-12 to reach income levels required to gain points so Im not sure how much dividends I need to draw unless Im clear on whether it is Gross or net that will be considered by home office ?
2> Secondly, I have 2 children both born in the UK, eldest was born in 2008 when I was under work permit and youngest in 2011 when I was under Tier-1 General. Both hold indian passports and have valid dependant visa until Sep-2012. Now should I include them under dependants when I apply for ILR in Aug-2012 or can they directly register as British Citizens as soon as Im granted ILR?. I read through Section 1( 3) for MN1 in UKBA site however Im not clear if I need to complete certain period of time under ILR before I can register them ?
3> If I can exclude them from the ILR application and register them directly as British citizens provided I get an PEO appointment in August and ILR is granted what would be a normal turnaround time for - registration,British Passport and OCI card for the children?. We have plans to visit India during Dec-12 so I wonder if I'd be able to obtain all of this for the children before the travel?
Appreciate any help or advise on my queries
Thanks,
Ganesh
