ILR cardiff director of ltd company

We are applying for ILR premium service in a couple of weeks at Cardiff PEO and received following in an email today
We are only able to process EMPLOYED Tier 1 General cases here in Cardiff. If you are applying for a Tier 1 General visa and are self employed or a director of a company, we are unable to make a same day decision in Cardiff and these applications will be sent to a specialist team for further investigation. You are advised to make a postal application, due to the complexity of these cases.
I am the director of my own limited company and applying along with my wife and kid. I have been on HSMP, now on Tier 1 general. I chose Cardiff for the ease of travelling with a small child. My question is does the same thing apply for ILR applicants? If so, does any one have a clue on how long it would take for the checks/processing application.
I am now reconsidering my options and contemplating going to Croydon if possible, not sure if I'd get any appointment on the day I need. So any advice would be great.

Hi
To the best of my knowledge and experience from the forum I've come accross a similar case when an applicant was the director of a limited company and applied at Cardiff they told them as well that Cardiff PEO wont be able to process the application on the same day if your business is not in Cardiff I am really sorry I wont be able to find the link of that post.
How ever I would advice you if you can manage just cancel your appointment and try to get any other PEO a part from Croydon and Cardiff, there are at least 6 more PEOs in the whole UK apart from these 2.
As you've enquired in your post about the application processing timeline so to be brutally honest with you no one this earth can tell you this that a Shambolic Organization like UKBA takes how long to process an application. I think you're really lucky that atleast they're being honest with you I know that it might have given you a bit of a shock after receiving the email but I think if you have time you can reconsider your other options by taking a different PEO.
Please kindly share your PEO experience on the forum.
Good luck for your ILR.

Hi
I never ever said that Cardiff and Croydon PEO dont accept Self Employed Applicants applications if you read my post a bit carefully I just adviced eemsak to change the PEO every PEO takes every single type of application to the very best of my knowledge. But just I always advice every one to avoid Croydon PEO as its the UKBA head office and being centrally located it has got a loads of work loads that's why most of the applicants have come accross IT issues and the other thing like that, hence keeping in my all of my previous reading experiences from other members of the forum I advice eemsak to go to any other PEO I never ever said that Cardiff and Croydon dont take Self Employed applications for ILR.
Hope this will clarify my post a bit more.

I had same response from Glasgow PEO in April when I booked appointment and went in person to apply there, was so disappointed.
They told me I can make a complain as nothing such is specified in UKBA website and suggested to apply either Croydon or Solihul.
I then booked Croydon to apply, but due to the IT issues my application could not be processed same day. Took about 3 weeks to get the results in post.

Hi fahadz1
There's no need to get confused at all from any thing in simple terms I'll tell you from the very best of my knowledge that Cardiff PEO wont be able to process your cases on the same day basis if you're a director of a Limited Company that's all I meant and they'll give you a decision later on and when this word come out from any staff member working for UKBA that " we'll give you a decision later on" then you just have to be extra extra patience in waiting times cause no one on this earth can tell you what's the exact time frame for that later on means.
In Simple terms mate if you're a director of a Ltd Co and wanted to make an ILR application then just avoid Cardiff and Glassgow PEO what I've just read in the post in this thread that's all I can say try any other PEO in the country.
I m pretty sure that it wont be the case with any other PEOs at least not with Croydon, Croydon PEO will take any type of application case that's all I can say. So there we go at least I've sorted out one PEO for you now you've to find the rest of the other PEOs if you want to avoid Croydon.
Hope this will end your confusion now.

What did they tell you when you showed them your documents, that they need to do further checks and can't tell you the decision straight away, so you have to do it by post or go for another PEO?
I don't understand why some PEOs can make same day decision and some can't if all documents are intact and if the application is straight forward irrespective of whether you work for your own company or some other company?

Thanks for the response. I have dependants with me and it has been a pain to get an appointment elsewhere. They never seem to exist. They say rules are changing from 9th July for dependant applications.

Are your dependants applying for settlement at the same time as you? If so, don't worry about the new changes.

Yes they are, and my wife and I have been married for 4 years and she has been on dependent visa since our wedding and we got all our extensions together as well.

Hi All,
I have booked appointment at Glasgow PEO office online; I am employed in a company and also register as a self-employed (Not a Limited Company or a business man etc.) and showing earnings from both employee and self-employee source.
Just wondering about your post and above conversation, did they accept my case as I am employed and self-employed too?
Any feedback please.
Regards,
Cardiff

Not sure about self-employment. But my experience in Glasgow peo was they mentioned they can't process my application as my earnings are thru limited company and they haven't got any senior case worker to deal with such cases, suggested to apply Croydon or Solihul.
Self employed Cardiff

I phoned UKBA last week for ILR PEO appointment in Cardiff and I was told i can’t make PEO application in Cardiff if I am both employed and self –employed . I argued that self employment only forms a very small part of my claimed earnings but they said they can’t deal with any kind of self employed applications at Cardiff, so I booked my PEO appointment for Solihull, Birmingham.
