Hi. I have a query regarding my friend who is due to apply for ILR this July, however, her dependent had 2 convictions using a motor vehicle without insurance fine of £300 and no driving licence fine of £10 which were all paid. Appeared to the court November 2010. Hope anybody could give advice and thanks in advance. Joy

Will this affect their application?

If the dependant has "unspent conviction", then the dependant's application will be refused.

I think police check was done and it says, end of convictions.

Then, on the basis of what you think, I "think" it will be fine!

Hi Sushdmehta,

I observed that you have provided good guidance to many people seeking ILR but have FPN in this board.

I am going to apply ILR next month.

I was driving on provisional license. I got fine of £60 and 3 Points. My vechile was impounded as police was not able to fine insurance against my car in MID database however they found it later so they release after 4 days. I submitted fees online. I got full license now but having 3 points in it.

Can you please let me know if I have "Do you or any dependants who are applying with you have any criminal convictions in the
UK or any other country (including traffic offences) or any civil judgments made against you?" to put "YES" while filling the form?

Some of members have adviced to get ACRO (http://www.acro.police.uk/subject_access.aspx) and CRB check.

Please advice
