Hello
I am on spouse visa and is about to expire in few days , but problem is my usband is abroad and is not able to travel back so quick to sign my application as without his signature i cannot submit my application and i was told even scanned copy wont be accepted as he is ready to send letter certified copies of his passport to support my application. can anyone who in case had similiar experience help.
aswell i have been in this country since mar 2002 , but when i applied for extension of my student visa in 2004 it went in appeal and finally recieved my visa in 2007 so there is no visa stamp from 2004-2007 would they consider that as a gap, or it will count towards my 10 year residency, and what documents are required to submit with 10 year residency, pls suggest.thanks

Have the two of you reconciled? What was the final outcome of the incident?

Given what happened in your relationship, IMHO, you should apply for settlement under long residence instead of applying for settlement under family route using certified copies of your spouse's passport at a time when your spouse is not in the UK.

well he withdrew his sponsorship last year and wen i was returning from holidays i was stopped at heathrow and detained and then released, well we reconciled later and he was interviewed and then my passport was released.i am bit hesitant to apply on 10 years as i do not have any work at the moment as i got redundant recently , i am sure that will count aswell if i am not earning.or should i still take a chance by applying.

Employment / income is not a requirement for settlement under long residence.
