ILR using different categories to make the 5 years

So I thought I was pretty sure about the answer to this, until I started reading the actual Set(O) form...

I entered the UK on a work permit on the 6th July 2007. I switched to Tier1 (General) on the 16th October 2008. From reading the website, it seems to say that as long as you are in Tier1(Gen), and have 5 years over the relevant categories, then you can apply for ILR.

However, when you come to fill out the form, it seems to assume that you are only using one category. For example, in section 3, it looks like it just wants you to tick the category from which you are applying, then when you get to section 6, it seems like it will only count the time from the category you are applying from. Is that correct? Or am I just freaking myself out for no reason? Is the 5 years over 2 different categories OK?

Thanks for the reassurance :)

So do I just tick tier 1 (gen) on section 3, but then use the full period in section 6?
