If you find it easier, you can choose to listen to the questions during the test through headphones, while also reading from the screen.
The content for the test is due to change in August this year.

Hi
Its so simple just have to read the official prescribed LIUK text book thoroughly and just do a google about LIUK practise test there's a cd avaialble as well to practise LIUK test and just practise the test from there or you can just practise it online there are so many free website avaiable on the internet few of them which I've used for my self when I was preparring for my LIUK test are as follows.
http://www.hiren.info/life-in-the-uk-test/1
http://www.ukcitizenshiptest.co.uk/
http://www.uktestonline.co.uk/?p=sample_test
Well the biggest tip for a good preparation for the LIUK test if that just read the official book thoroughly and then try to attempt some practise test its not really good practise to have collected lots and lots of study material and then ended up getting stressed out by not finishing all of it so therefore I would highly recommend just read the official text book and then try to practise the test from the above mention websites in my post.
Hope this will help.
Good luck for your LIUK and for your ILR.

I'll highlight again ...the test content is due to change considerably around August/September.
Therefore you need to think about when you intend to actually take the test.
You may find you're studying out of date material.

i passed my LIUK test using hiren.info. may be out of date a bit but you still can pass as long as you do it before the new one comes in.

Thanks Casa, useful information.
How long can I take the current test for?
The last time the government revised the test they used transitional arrangements to ensure that people were given a fair amount of time to either complete their studies and take the old test, or choose to prepare for the new one.
Last time this cross-over period was 3 months. To give an example, if the test is launched on Monday 3 September 2012 then you could choose whether to take the old or new test until Monday 3 December 2012. Before 3 September you would have to take the old test. After 3 December you would have to take the new test.
These dates have not been confirmed by the UKBA. They are provided as an example of the kind of arrangement they are likely to use.

Hi
There's no expiry date for the LIUK pass certificate and there's no date of passing on the LIUK test certificates so it should be fine if you clear your LIUK test now and use it for your ILR in 2013.
Hope this will answer your question.
Good luck for your ILR.
