Hello and Hi,

I am confused with the following question that appears in the latest SET(M) application form.

Are you and your partner related outside of your relationship?

Me and my partner are in to a relationship. How either me and my partner will be related outside of our relationship?..

Also found one other weird question in the application. Is this arranged marriage??? ... what difference does it make between and arranged marriage and a love marriage to the Home Office.

Kind Regards

In some cultures, the two people in a marriage could be blood-relations.

bare in mind that UKBA need to consider a range of applicants cases...

you will find that the questions follow a pattern of finding out if you live together and when you strted living together... so you could be blood related and living together before your relationship....

or you could be housemates living together sharing a house and then fell in love! and continue to live together as partners, etc...

just answer the questions truthfully without reading between the lines why they ask them... :)

Hi,

Thanks to every one who have responded.

Agreed that Home Office has every right to find out the nature
of relationship between the partners/couple considering
the increasing amount of "sham marriage" cases in the UK.

But i think, the questionnaire goes too much in detail to
explain the relationship for people who are genuine.
