Do I need a work when I apply for PR Tier 1 + HSMP

I am qualified for 5 years work in the UK from Christmas day 2012. (What a lovely time). I think I will book the appoint in Jan 2013.
I spent my 2 years on HSMP and 3 years on Tier 1.
In the form, it requests 12 months income in the last 15 months.
I can prove my income from 1st November 2011 to 30th Oct 2012 in current company.
So can I quit the job in next month?
I don't need to prove I am still working at the time of my appoint, do I?
