Hi Guys,

I need one urgent advise from all of you experienced guys. I am applying for ILR. I have one full time employment and have a business of my own. My wife is a director of the company ( and I am not). I also work in the business and does not withdraw any salary. I only get dividends paid as share holder.

For the earnings section. I have suffcient salary to score points using my full time employment.

But I have made one business trip for the limited company exactly for 3 months. In order to show that business trip do I need to be getting salary in UK ? or is it suffcinet to show that I am working in the businsess and reason for business trip on letter ?

I have made my trip in Aug to oct 2011 but I only got dividends paid from Feb 2012. wil this cause any issue ? Any advise would be helpful

What is the evidence that you "work" for the limited company that your wife is a director and controlling shareholder of and not just a "shareholder"?

You will find it difficult to convince the caseworker that the absence was work (self-employment) related if you are not claiming income points from that work (self-employment) or have no evidence to prove that you formally "work" for the company.
