Dear Consultant,

Currently I am on Tier-2 General visa. As per the current visa rules, will I be eligible to apply for ILR in Jan 2018?

Many Thanks,
NP

You will need to provide more information for anyone to be able to comment. For example when were you granted EC, what date did you first enter the UK?

Also there is no guarantee that ILR will continue to exist in 2018.

ILR for Tier-2 General

Dear Consultant,

I have been in the UK from Jan 2010. My different visa status are as below:

18 Jan 2010 : Tier 4, Student Visa approval
31 Jan 2010 : Entry to UK with Tier 4, Student Visa approval
16 Mar 2011 : Application and approval of Tier 1 PSW Visa
20 Dec 2012 : Tier-2 General

I do understand that rules will change every year, but rules are also applicable according to the date of visa stamp (Tier-2 General in my case).

My query is: As per current rule am I eligible for ILR after 5 years?

Many Thanks,
NP
