Hi,

I hope somebody will help me by answering my query.

I will be qualifying for ILR in June 2014.

I have gone through some post where it has mentioned that after October 2013 who ever will be applying for ILR would need to demonstrate Life in UK qualification and English Language skills at at least Level B1.

My Circumstances: I have done my MSc Degree from UK University. At the moment I am on Tier 2, However I will not be applying for ILR on tier2 basis. I will be applying for ILR on 10 Years Long Residency Basis.

My Query is: As I have done MSc degree from UK, Do I still have to obtain English Language Qualification to apply for ILR in 2014.

Thank you.

Thank you very much vinny for your reply,

I have go through the paragraph 276B(iv),

Just wanted to confirm what I have understood,

If some one apply on the basis of 10 years long residency, and have current leave as Tier 2 then He will have to Pass only Life in UK test. There is no need to demonstrate English Language at Level B1 qualification.
