Hi,

My ILR was successfully granted today at Croydon, Thanks to All from this forum for helping me with various queries

Main Applicant + 2 Dependents
Appointment Time : 08:20 31/12/2012
Reached home office by 07:45, completed security , collected token & payment completed by 08:00

08:10 - Called by Case worker 1 for initial verification of docs & asked to wait again for biometric

08:30 - Called for biometric , all completed in 10 minutes & waited again.

Around 09:00 - different case worker called our token & asked for originals & asked us to wait in waiting area.
Waited for close to 2 hrs & case worker called again around 11:00 to confirm all is fine , gave the letter confirming settlement & informed biometric will be sent by post & will take upto 10 days

The reason it took so much time was they took photocopies of all the originals, i should have given them along with orignals(my mistake)

Documents submitted:
1. Photos
2. Set(0) form 12/12
3. Life in UK(main & dependents)
4. Letter from employer
5. Payslips(12 months)
6. P60 last 4 years
7. Bank Statement (12 months)
8. Masters Degree Certificate
9. Points Calculator Assessment
10. Previous UKBA letters( HSMP & Tier1 approval letters)
11. Marriage Certificate
12. Council tax for last 5 years( had both Main & Dependent's name)
13. General covering letter

No questions were asked, documents collected, waited for 2 hours & then settlement letter received.
I was outside UK for 76 days in total in last 5 years & didn't submit employer letter for absence nor did i fill section 6.3 in the form(left it blank)

My wife had gone to INdia for maternity for around 6 months in 2010, again no questions asked regarding this

Thanks Again to all in the forum for helping
Karthik.

3. did you provide any proof of absences, if yes, what was the proof please?

Congrat's & thanks for posting your experience!

One question, did you only submit the documents the caseworker asked for? Or simply submit everything you had with you?

i split my docs into different folders, the main folder had all the one mentioned above & i gave the case worker only those ones. i had extra documents mainly for cohab proof like tenancy agreement, electoral card, nhs letters but didnt submit those
