ILR Postal Application under Tier 1 Skilled migrant process

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice or info. Here is the details:

- I sent in my application for Indefinite Leave to Remain on 10 November 2012 for arrival 13 November 2012 and this reached the UKBA that date.

- I had my biometrics taken at the post office on Friday 4 January 2013.

I have not received any updates on the progress of my application at the moment. I am a bit anxious as I need to get my passport by 25 Jan 2013 as I am meant to be flying out to South Africa on that date.

Does anyone have any idea if processing times are like 2 months currently or longer? I would expect there to be efficiency these days.

I cant even call the enquiry line as its just automated voices spouting information and option selections however the calls always get terminated no matter what option you select.

Also any information on requesting the return of documents before application is decided would be appreicated, just in case there are consequences.

Thanks all very much.

If you request for your Passport to be returned for travel to South Africa, your application will be considered to have been withdrawn with no refunds, and if you do not have any 'live' visa, you will be considered an overstayer from this day.
