Does PEO appointment time matter

I have booked my PEO appointment, end of Jan 2013, for ILR @ Croydon. That appointment is at 1pm.
Is there any drawback of visiting PEO so late? Some are saying if there is any delay due to previous cases then they keep the documents with them and send the outcome by post or call you again next day. Is it true?

I have had PEO appointments at 9am in the morning and another one at 2pm in the afternoon. I never had a problem and both instances my LTR or ILR was issued on the day.
If your case is straightforward, then you have nothing to worry about. They only keep applications / documents if they need to do further checks.

There are some people who have said that if you have a late appointment at Croydon, they may not complete your case on the day and then ask you to return the following day. But I've also heard from people who got there in the afternoon and got everything done in time without any issues.
EDIT: The very next topic I opened:

NO.
There are occasional delays due to system failure, or if they determine further investigation is necessary. I have not come across anyone's application being delayed for the reason you are concerned about.
