Hi All,

This forum has been very helpful and I am silent reader of this forum from last two years. This is my turn to share success story.

I have been in UK based on Work Permit from March 2008. My entry clearance from 12 Feb 2008 to 12 Feb 2013 and entered 47 days later on 30th March 2008.
I applied with 2 dependents (partner and child). I got an appointment at 10:00 AM and we reached the PEO around 9:30 AM. As usual we went through the airport style security check and issued ticket number.
My ticket number is called around 10:35 and caseworker was nice lady who asked document one by one in the following order
Set O Form and Passport, she was checking my details on her system. Then she asked
Life in UK test ( Me and my partner)
Employer Letter (SOC Code etc.,)
Pay slips
Bank Statement
Birth certificate for my child (she was born in UK)
Cohabitation document ( one document per year for 2011 and 2012)
Within few minutes she approved our ILR and asked me pay the fees and wait for the biometrics.
At 10:45 i went to counter to pay the fees
And did the biometric at 11:15 and we got the approval letter 11:50 and left the building.
Note:
For Question 6.3 i ticked Letter from Employer.
6.3 What evidence has been provided to support the reasons for all absences from the UK?

Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including
periods of paid annual leave from the UK?
Total days outside the UK during this period are 121 days and all these days are paid annual holidays. Though I have the letter from Employer for the absence, she did not ask any letter for supporting absence.

Congrat's prabhusubha! Thanks for posting your experience. It's interesting that the requirement for an employer letter to confirm absences (for T2 & WP applicants) is not verified by all case workers.

Congratulations prabhusunha. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Please be good enough to clarify the following.:

1. How many months Bank Statements and Payslips did the Case Worker ask you?

2. Didn't she ask you for 5 year P60s?

Hi Kevin24,

She asked last month pay slip though i provided last 3 months. She did check only last month with bank statement.

She did not ask P60.

Hi,

I am a work permit holder and will be applying ILR shortly.
Do they ask/check for the original work permit approval letter when deciding your application as i have lost it?

Do you have any idea what i need to do to avoid trouble/ rejection in this case? What would you suggest?

Would it be ok if i dont have orignal wp approval letter but having p60 for last four years which was issude by the same employer and a letter showing my soc code, salary etc from employer?

Your reply will be highly appriciated.

Regards,.....
