No thats not right, they do accept the applications from self employed. I am self employed and I got approval.
Main thing to arrange other than normal documentation for self employed people is that you must provide them the paid bills of Class 2 national insurance.

I was not previously issued BRP and they told that I will receive those by post within 7 working days.
Self employed or Employed - Limited company contractor ?

Congrats Syed....
Hello Guys
I have my PEO on 30/1/13
I worked in permanent job for 3.8 years and remaining 1.2 years as Java Contractor and have my own limited company now.
Would I come under Self-Employed category or Employed category ?
For last one month I am without job, will this affect any way ?
Otherwise I have the needed points.
Thanks
Jay

My visa is expiring on 18 march 13. I am planning to apply at PEO office for my ILR. Could you please advise me the self employment documents needed?.

Hi Faislondon
UTR number normally takes 4-6 weeks to arrive. You must submit this letter while applying. You should also contact to HMRC telling your N I Number and ask them that now you have been self employed and you want to pay class 2 national insurance and request them to send you the bill because this document is also very important for self employment proof.
Best of luck!
