Child Dependant's Passport getting Expired- ILR Application

Dear All,

Hope we all are keeping well there.

I am eligible for ILR on the basis of having spent 5 yrs in UK on T1 (G).

I will be applying for ILR with 2 dependants (Wife and child).

Question;

However, my child's passport is getting expired in the beginning of Mar'13. I am trying to get PEO appointment for Feb'13. I will renew his passport it but it would take 6 weeks minimum for the new passport. I don't want to delay my ILR application.

Will it matter to UKBA if the child's passport will only have few days left on his passport? Does it matter to them even if it is expired?

Please contribute, thanks very much in advance for your time and efforts.

Can you confirm -
A. Where your child was born (UK or overseas)
B. If your child was born in UK, does the child have her/his own dependent visa?

Thanks for your reply wpilr_nov12.

The child was not born in the UK.

Useful Info;

I came 4 months late therefore had to go for second extension, which I have received last week for myself, my wife and my child.

All of us have received biometric cards (2 yrs visa valid until Jan 2015). I and my wife both have long validity of passport but like I said my overseas born child's passport is due to expire on 3rd March 2013.

Hope info supplied above is useful?

Please contribute and advise further. Thanks in advance.

In your situation you should be ok as long as the passport is not expired at time of application. Be prepared to answer any question that you have raised here about it.
