First of all, I would like to thank all those member who have become a great source of information.

I am planning to apply for my ILR in March 2013. My case is Work Permit + Tier 1. I came to UK on 16th March 2008 on work permit. When I entered UK I already had my HSMP approval letter. I went on leave out of UK for 10 days in April 2008 and got my Tier 1 stamped on 8th Aug 2008.

Its been around 5 years now and I don't have any letter from employer/sponsor stating the reason for out of UK. I am not sure if my sponsor will give either as I have left the company long time back.

I would like to know if that letter is really needed.

Hi Manoj,
You don't any employer letter as currently you are on Tier-1,
I got ILR very recently, I was on WP for 18 months(includes 60 days vacation) then shifted to T1 G

I haven't provided any letters, no worries
