Applying for ILR this coming week - URGENT 5YR WP

I am applying for ILR this coming week under 5yr WP category.

Q-My 5 yr work permit was approved on 18th Feb 2008 and was stamped on the passport which got lost by DVLA in 2009. I applied for a new passport and got wp stamped again which was from 2009-2013. I have all the supporting docs i.e Police certificate and other additional docs stating passport was lost by DVLA. I can't seem to find the copy of the original stamp of 5yr wp visa though I have the original work permit letter issued by HO dated 18th Feb 2008 stating it is approved etc. Do you think if I dont have a copy of that visa, could that be a issue?

I don't see that being a problem. I presume your WP letter has a stamp on it with the date of entry, that is if you got EC to enter the UK on that WP. If so that would serve as proof of date of first entry (if that's what you are worried about).

Nothing to worry about as you have sufficient alternatives at hand.

It was in country application switched from Fresh Talent Scotland. I have got the letter saying WP is approved and starts from 18th Feb plus HO is aware as I got the visa stamped again post getting a new passport. Thanks for the input, appreciate. Fingers crossed

The reason your new passports was stamped 2009-2013 is to show when it is issued - on the day it was stamped on new passport.

Hi! GAGAN1986

You should not worry about too much. It is a PEO appointment not a POSTAL one. You should be able to explain clearly,if only asked. Also you have all the supporting documents.Just give the CW what is asked for, nothing else..

GOOD LUCK.

Thanks, true just need to give what they ask for.

I know it sounds a silly question, do you have to wear a formal suit or dress smart?

Thank You for putting this post up.

I think, if you dress up ,smart should be O.K for a PEO appointment..You should be confortable. That's what I would do. But Let's wait till some body, who went dressed up in Suit to respond.

Although the ILR decision depends on everything else but your appearance, it would be a general courtesy to look presentable. I don't see need for business suit , but something that makes everyone around you comfortable should be the norm. No need for a pinstripe suit with a tie, just plain business casual would be fine. You want to feel confident, and comfortable.

True that. Defo makes sense. Will go with smart business casual. I have sent you a continued PM just to clear something what we were discussing before. Will really appreciate some advice.
