We have a T1 General visa which I got initially from 01/01/2011 and recently got it extended. We landed in this country on 29/01/2011 as I had my job contract from 01/02/2011.

My wife is my T1 dependent.

Here are the dates:
------------------------------------------
Initial Tier1(2 years):
Valid From: 1 JAN 2011
Valid until : 1 JAN 2013
First Landed in UK: 29 JAN 2011
------------------------------------------
Tier1 Extention(3 years):
Valid From: NA
Valid until : 1 JAN 2016
------------------------------------------

Q1. We will be 28 days short of 5 years at end of our T1 extension. Will we need another extension or can we file our ILR?

Q2. We have already gone out of UK for around 59 days ( split over last two years). How much more can we travel abroad( per year and altogether) in coming 3 years if we aspire to get ILR in 2016?

Q3. Since my wife is T1 dependent, can she travel out of India for more than 90 days now without affecting the ILR eligibility? She will travel less than 90 days in last two years which I understand it the qualification period for her.

Immigration rules have changed twice in 2012. 2016 would still be a long way.

From my ' useful links' below, go to immigration Rules ( as of 26jan2013) and review that.
