Biometric residence permit validity

I got my BRP recently but I have a concern about the time its valid for...

Since i applied for my fiance visa before 9th July 2012 my flr (m) application was considered under the old rules, however my BRP is valid for 2 and a half years and I am not sure if this is correct because I know that applicants under the new rules need to have 2 probationary periods of 2 and a half years which should not be the case with me.

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or if maybe its not a mistake and I should just ignore it and apply for indefinite leave to remain after 2 years have passed???

Thank you.

Hello,
I think I have had the same experience.I applied for a one year FLR in December 2011 to complete my two year probationary period which would have expired last month but they instead issued me a Biometric card with validity till the 2014.But I have last month applied for ILR and I have had my finger prints taken today. So don't worry.Apply for the ILR when you complete your two year probationary period.
