Hi
I have a unique situation which I need some advice on. I have an ILR and I am getting married in couple of months time. My fiance is right now in paris and on a french Work Permit. Her indian employer is getting a 1 year UK Work permit processed for her which will begin after the wedding in April.
My question is can she get a transfer over to Dependent ILR once she get here on a Tier 2 WP?
Or will she have to go to India once to get her dependent ILR in the next one year?

In the link below, it doesnt say that I cannot apply for dependent ILR from within the UK if my partner is on Tier 2 but i just need confirmation of this :

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... you-apply/

Please reply soon as we have to make a decision soon if we should go for dependent ILR now or later.
Thanks

For Switching to a dependant category from tier 2 would require the switch to be done from home country. However, ou might want to confirm if this is still the case.
