Hi,
I have ILR and looking to apply for visa for my wife in India.
I have a query regarding my what category my wife's visa will fall under?
the thing is spouse visa takes 3 months and dependent takes 3 weeks.
can someone please tell which category she can apply under and what are the benefits of both categories?
Thanks
S.

She is eligible only for a partner settlement visa.

there is no other visa she can apply for if she wants to be in the UK as your spouse. A 'partner settlement' visa is issued with a view to settlement, it doesn't mean that settlement is granted automatically.

Thanks Greenie
is it ok to mention that wife is pregnant in the covering letter of the visa?
does this help in fast processing or it is better now to mention this?
Has anyone mentioned this and had a good / adverse impact on the application or time of processing?
please share your views.
Regards,
S.

Of course! You can also mention the color of her eyes if you want. However, her condition is not relevant to the application and will not expedite a decision. Obviously if she has a child before the application is emitted, the child will have to make an application also. Until then, she is one individual making one application.

You are better off going back to your Other Forum. In this one you have to get used to Lucapooka.Who talks straight.
