Please advice urgently - continuity 180 days per year

Please advice if the date of applying ILR can change the qualifying period ie. if I apply for ILR mid-March 2013, will the 5 year period count from mid-mar 2008 to mid-March 2013? and not from date of entry which was Dec 2007?
wrt Dec 2007 entry date I would have over 180 days in the 2nd year and a continuous single absence of 145 days (1st feb - 25th June 2009) and some additional absences. However if I apply mid-March, the single absence would be split across Year 1 and Year 2, such that it brings down the total absences in Year 2 to be below 180 days? Is this possible?
