Dear Friends,

I am in bit of a situation and need your expert advise.
I have my ILR appointment in a week’s time. I was going through my passport to list the time spent outside UK in last 5 years. I did travel to India on 24th Oct 2008 and returned back on 2nd Nov 2008. However, the immigration stamp at Heathrow T2 has been stamped with a date of 23rd Sept 2008. I do not know how to resolve this and what impact it will have on my application. I fairly certain that the only time I was outside UK was between 24th Oct to0 2nd Nov 2008. I can also see an outbound immigration stamp at Indian airport dated 02nd Nov 2008 .
Can you please advise ?

Do you have airline tickets, boarding card copies etc (though remote chance), but if you have those then you can submit them as a proof for your arrival date.

I do have my e Ticket and surprisingly found the boarding pass in my old file. Will it be sufficient ?

Do you know if there is a way of getting this corrected in the passport ?

You should be fine, if you have proof of travel. As you appear to have your e-ticket and boarding passes I don't see an issue. Additionally you say the departure stamp in your destination country is correct in your passport, which will serve as further confirmation.

I do have E ticket (Inbound/outbound) and boarding pass form my journey from B'lore India to London Heatrow.

Any thoughts on whether I need make it explicitly clear to them while handing over the application ? please advise.

Just write the original dates in the column where it says dates in and exit. Don't offer it straightaway, only give it if they ask you for it. You will just end up making your straightforward case unnecessarily complicated

I got my ILR. They did not ask me anything apart from my earning details and LUK certificate.

Just in case if it helps anyone else, this is what I did as a prepeartion if I had to explain the date issue

Informed my employer, highlighting that the I was working in UK on the incorrect date of arrival stamping.
Got a letter from my employer confirming my visa and annual leave details. Also highlighting that I was not on any overseas assignment

Carried all available e-Tickets/Boarding passes with me
