Hi,

I am leaving to India on June 7th for vacation and will come back on June 30th.

Before this I am thinking of applying ILR on Mid of May. Please find my questions.

My Tier 1 is valid till March 2014.

1. Do they take our passports back in PEO or they return in on same day.

2. How many days does it take them to return the passports or BRP?

3. What if i miss the BRP before June 7th, can i recollect it after 30th.

Please advise.

My suggestion would be come back from your India trip and then apply. Because although you could get your passports back the same day there have been instances when things have been delayed. BRP can take upto 7-10 working days to arrive so not worth risking your trip.
