Hi
I have a doubt regards to salary to be mentioned in the SET O Form - Should it include or exclude guarunteed allowances ?
Im on T2 ICT & My Salary includes a guarunteed allowance component - Together with this allowance - I meet the salary threshold criteria for settlement. But without the guarunteed allowance component I dont meet the salary criterion.
Is it OK to mention this total salary ( with guarunteed allowance ) in Set O form - please suggest.
Regards

Hi , Just forgot to mention that My P60, HMRC employment records - both show the same salary figure which includes my guarunteed allowance component.

How does it appear on your payslip?
Basic salary and then allowance? Or does it just show up as one basic salary?

Hi Gagan, On my Salary Slip It shows 2 different components - Gross and Allowance , My company HR said that they will give letter showing my Annual salary as a single Figure having total of both components added up ( In fact number of time I have got a letter from my company for other matters, It always gave the reference letters showing salary as both components added up ) Really confused

That's was my next question that will your employer provide a letter sowing it as one figure, which will help a lot.
Couple of other questions to get more clarity:-
What does your contract say? Does it show a breakdown?
What is the allowance for? Is it job related or allowance is for other expenses you bear doing the job?

Hi Gagan, By Contract do you mean certificate of sponsorship ? Im a full time employee and with same employer since the time i entered uk. On my COS - In the salary sections as below :
Gross salary in pound sterling including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses'= both components included .
Gross allowances and guaranteed bonuses included in the above figure
in pound sterling = Allowance component
Summary of all allowances and guaranteed bonuses: Spl Allow in lieu of Variable
Regards to your second question - This is just a special allowance which is meither a housing benefit / car allowance or anything else , Dunno why they have divided the sal in this component as it not actually an allowance for anything - and been getting same amount for last 2 years or so in this component.
I hope I have clarified both your questions . I can provide furthur details if required.

As the allowance is a permanent and mandatory part of your salary package. You should state salary inc the allowance (total) and back it up with employer letter again stating the same as you mentioned before(they have done the letter for you in the past)
Don't see it being an issue
