Hi,
I have been in UK for 9 years Under Student and PSW. Now preparing for ilr 10 years. All my visa extension have been on time.

- But my last visa was Valid Unitl 30/01/2011.
- I sent extension application on 19/01/2011.
- Got a letter from UKBA Dated 30/01/2011, about receiving my application, .
- Visa Extension was Granted on 30/07/2011.

Will this 7 months gap due to long processing time by UKBA, effect ILR 10 years??

Thanks

No. As you made a valid in-time application to extend your leave, the time between your former leave to remain expiry date and new LTR approval date would have been covered by virtue of S3C.

Yes its correct that your 7 months application process time will be counted towards 10 years long residence - ILR because you made in time application and it was proteced under section 3c.

When I extended my visa last time and sent all the docs with my BRP card, which I had at that time. Extension was successful, I got the new BRP card, UKBA returned all the docs apart from that previous BRP card.

I have all the UKBA letters and photocopy of that BRP card. Will that be enough for ilr application or do I need anything else to prove the legality of that time I spent in UK??

No all the docs that you have should be fine.
