10 Years ILR married with British citizen

Hi
I'd like to ask an advice that I am a British citizen and my partner can apply ILR with 10 Years long residence only next year Feb. But I have a situation that I have to leave the job and go and live at home country with parents until that time as I am the only child to take care of them. My questions are:
- Would that affect his application as we have to live separately, dependent is here and I am outside of country?
- Would it make a big fuss that I will not have a job when he is applying ILR?
- Would I have to be here when he submit his ILR application?
