I am on Tier 1 currently and due for my ILR in May.

I was contracting before and had my own Ltd company whose status currently is dormant (for the last 8 months) as i am in Permanent job now for the last 15 months...

As I have to show PBS for last 12 months only (which is permi job), do I still need a letter from accountant for my previous income??

No unless you are claiming any income from your ltd company.

no i am not claiming any income from my contract jobs.. 12 months would be of my permi job only
