Hi,
I got my Tier 1 (General) visa for three years valid from 22-June-2010 and I entered UK only on August 28 2010. I am planning to apply for visa extension (2 years) by end of May 2013.

Should I be to applying for another extension before applying for ILR in 2015? Will there be any advantage in applying visa extension close to 22-June-2013?

Any suggestions please.

No advantage in applying for extension close to 22nd June. For ILR, the earliest you can apply will be 24th May 2015.

Don't think there is any reason for you to start looking at ILR at the moment. First things first, sort out your extension. Then closer to Jan 2015, you can start talking about ILR. Don't forget policies can change, and then everything changes.

Thanks Vince. I know its very early to think about ILR. If I can do something now to avoid another extension, just wanted to ensure that I do it now and not regret later.
