Hi folks,

I'm filling out section 5 on the SET O forms and I'm a bit confused. I'm on Tier2. My annual salary is 35k, I'm contracted to work 35hrs weekly 5 days a week. My code is 1132

My rate as per the COP is 15.88hr and the code of practice is based on 37.5hrs

Can you help me below with the five boxes??

Box 1= soc code- 1132
Box 2=Current pay (hourly or annually)- £15.88
Box 3=Current rate of pay (per annum) ??- I'm I meant to write my annual salary ? I'm confused ??
Box 4=Number of hours this salary is based on ??- I am contracted to work 35hrs a week but the code of practice states 37.5hrs, I'm confused ??
Box 5=Number of weeks hours- ?? I'm unsure what to write here??

Please I really appreciate your advice

If you would have searched the Forum you would have found the answers.

1. Box Your Soc Code
2. Box --Leave it blank.
3. Not your Actual Salary
4.37.5*52weeks
5.37.5 hrs.

You will have to re-calculate your salary to 37.5 hrs.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your feedback I appreciate, I did see some answers but was still
Unclear.

My contract is based on 35hours weekly, 5 days a week. My company has indicated this on a letter, will the case pro-rata my earnings based on my working patterns?

I appreciate your feedback

In that case, you must give the actual figures on 35 hours per week.As long as your present salary is above the SOC Code salary. Please read in the forum for similar queries...Are you planning to go for a PEO appointment?.

Hi Kevin,

Yes indeed I'm planning a PEO appointment next week. My soc code is 1132 (15.88hr)

35hrs (my contracted hours) * 15.88hr * 52 weeks=£29, 901

UKBA 37.5 * 15.88* 52 weeks = £30, 966

However my current salary is £35,000, hence why I am confused what to enter in section 5 of the SET O forms

Praise be to God, I got my approval letter today Monday 26th March at the Liverpool PEO!

I'm on the train back to London so I wanted to share my experience with everyone. Firstly I want to say a BIG thank you to all the Gurus, Moderators, Junior members and everyone who offer their advice, insights on a daily basis for free.

My situation:

*2007-2009= HSMP
*2009-March 26th 2013=Tier 2
*52 days absences(My company provided letter to state all my absences and also state I was paid for all my absence) using the sticky notes I made a table with all my absences and highlighted which pages on my passport the case worker should look at ( she loved it)
Letter from employer stating soc code, current salary, role, that I am paid at the appropriate rate, and my services are required for the foreseeable future.
*3 months payslip (my company did a cover letter to authenticate the payslips and the payslips were stamped as I use online payslips)
*3 months bank statement ( my balance in jan was £140, balance in feb £83.00, March £3,000)
*Life in the UK test
*Letter to show initial HSMP Grant
*Letter to show initial Tier 2 Grant
*Letter to show Tier 2 extension
* 2 passport photos

Appointment was at 2pm, airport style check, got a ticket then was called to a booth within 15mins, very friendly lady asked me for my passport, tier 2 biometric card and passports photos. She then asked me what I was applying for I said ILR under Tier 2. She typed in the computer while we spoke and she said thank you Sir please have a seat, we will call you again shortly. 5mins later I was called to another booth to make payments. It was a weird afternoon as i could hear some CW's say their systems were down and short staffed, so at 2.45 I was wondering if I would see a CW as I heard some case workers telling people that due to lack of time in the day, lack of staff, decisions could not be made today and they would take our application details and hear from them in 3 working days. At that point my heart sank. Travelling from London and paying a premium fee my head started to spin. At 3pm my number was called and I went to the booth and it was the initial friendly lady who attended to me. She was very polite and apologised that they were short staffed and I might not get a decision today but that she will enter my details into the system. 3.15pm I get called for biometrics, 3.20 I go back to the case work to submit my biometrics and she gives me the good news, I have looked through your application and I'm satisfied. You will have you approval shortly. 3.25 she calls me again and gives me my approval letter to say your BRP will arrive within 7 working days. 1hour 25mins.

Kevin a member on here helped me out with section 5, this is what I entered in the end

Box 1= soc code 1132
Box 2= £19.23 ( this is the current hourly rate my company pays me at)
Box 3= £35,000 ( this is the per annum salary I'm currently paid at)
Box 4= 35 hours ( I am contracted to work 35 hours)
Box 5 = 35 hours

I must say the folks at Liverpool are very polite, friendly and professional well u can say that for my case worker :-)

Please feel free to ask any questions, I wish everyone the best of luck in with their applications, remember I'm no expert so my experience or situation could differ from yours :-)
