ILR appointment next week, family on tier 1 dependent visa

Hi,
I am a Tier 1 applicant and i was planning to apply for ILR before 6th April 2013 considering the expected rule changes after that. Unfortunately i could manage to book appointment only for myself in croydon peo and could not get slot for dependent.
Can i plan to get my ILR processed first and apply for dependents after few days/weeks ? My only worry is if my ILR will get approved successfully, can it make my family's tier 1 visa dependent invalid ?
Can my dependent still be on tier 1 dependent visa for couple of weeks , till the time i will apply for their ILR ?
