Hi All ,

I browsed through the UKBA site and c's not find the answer so thought to get help on this here.

I came in UK 22 May 2008
22May 2008 to Sept 2008 Work permit
Sept. 2008 till now Tier 1 General.

Am I Eligible to apply for ILR on 19th April 2013 (spend 4 years 10.5 Months IN uk )?

Thanks in advance.

The rule says you can apply no more than 28 days before you complete 5 years.
Hence the earliest day will be 22 May 2013 - 28 days = 24th April?

are you planning to apply in person at PEO on that date or submitting a postal application?

You can apply 28 days before the 22nd of May 2013. So earliest date you can apply is 25th of April 2013.

This question has been answered quite nicely in FAQ section here:

Here is the link for detailed guidance about qualifying period from UKBA website:

Please begin by reading the ILR FAQ. Reading Q4 would help answer this question.
