About to apply for ILR - 10years residency: Passport

Hi guys,

I hope someone on this forum might be able to help me out.
I now qualify for ILR under the 10year Long residency route and is preparing to make my application.

What is the quickest way to get my passport back - not necessary with the permit; but to get my passport as I travel quite a lot and i'll be severely be impacted if my passport should be locked for up to the 4-5months average it takes to process these applications.

I do have over 2 years of Tier 1 permit; so it's more the passport and not the decision that i need quickly.

Has someone been in this situation before or have an idea of the best way to tackle this?

Thanks for reading and support. 8)

Hi,

I maybe wrong but cant you apply for the same day processing?.

Would appreciate if you could share your experience of applying for the 10 year route to ILR i.e. elegibilty, documents required for application. Also, can your spouse apply for ILR along with you?

Thanks,

Hi,

Same Day/Premium service for this route was closed i think in 2010 as far as I'm aware.

My case should be straightforward; so plans to send only my 2 passports (expired and current) with my BRP card.

Once again, As far as I know, you cannot apply with your dependant - that should be via different application form. There has been few changes from 6th April and i'm not sure if this has changed or not.

Thanks
