Hello, From guidance I understand applicants with Degree taught in english automatically meet new requirements. If I used degree taught in english so far for my Tier-1 applications (my college and course on UKBA calculator). In this case, am I right to assume that same is good for ILR as well as per new requirement?

If you cant read and understand this simple and plain english..may be you should give the english test hehehe!!

The following groups are considered automatically to meet the English language component of the
KoLL requirement and will not be required to show a formal speaking and listening qualification:
•
Nationals of majority English speaking countries (Annex A).
•
Those who have obtained a degree taught in English.
Both of these groups will, however, be required to pass the Life in the UK test to demonstrate
their knowledge of life in the UK

Lot of us use this forum to reassure ourselves and I just did the same perhaps. I was trying to find an ILR calculator to verify that it also has my degree recognized as being taught in english but couldn't find one. Though I know they would use NARIC database and it will be common for Tier-1 and ILR but you never know if they differ for some reason (new requirements = database update)

since you have done your Degree in English,you would not find it difficult to Pass the Life In The UK Test. Good Luck.

Kevin he is asking about the new english test and not life in uk test.
