without job wife ILR

Hi Every One
I am British Citizen.My wife and one child are on 2 year spouse visa.They came last year April 2012 from Napal.I claimed C.B,C.T.C. last 4 month i am jobless.Now can i claim jobseekers allowance? if did not get job can i apply ILR for my wife? how much savings i need in my account?It possible Ilr without no body have a job in house?

Your savings can be used to help show adequate maintenance. See my recent post under claiming benefits regarding JSA.

Thanks for your reply. £5000 would be enough savings for spouse ILR without any other income? I have two kid

It must be enough. In this country many people are on minus on their accounts. Last night 2 guys came to my shop to by cigarettes they were trying to pay 2.20 cash 1.60 with card they have only 1.60 on their cards. think about the rest yourself how bad the situation right now. we did the smallest amount of the takens last three days in my shop the economy is seriously bad nowadays. 5 grand must be plenty.

Well the caseworker should divide your savings by the income support amount for a couple then see how many weeks it equates to. In your case it is very unlikely to be refused with £5000 in savings. Your savings should support you until you find a job,

Roughly how much savings need for support my family? savings divide in 6 month or year?
I spent week £100 for rent.
