ILR application for dependant

Hello

I am confused and would be grateful if someone can please advice on the issue I am facing --

I am due for an ILR in January 2014 and my wife is also due for her ILR at the same time as she has been with me from 2011.

My employer will be doing my application for the ILR through their official immigration partners and I would like them to handle my application. However, the problem I am facing is that those agents will be charging the same amount as consultation fees as they are charging me so I was thinking if it is possible for me to process my ILR application through these agents and once I get my ILR, go for my wife's ILR separately; Is it something I can do. I know it would have been better if we could do it tegether, but I do not want to spend so much additional money for my wife's application when it can be done by me only.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

thanks

Can meaning permission or can meaning ability? You are permitted to do this.

Thanks Lucapooka

Can meaning permission. In that case my wife will have to apply via Set M form right?

It will be wise, if you do your wife's application after you get yours. Hope she has enough leave to remain in UK

Depends on her current category/status at the time.

Thanks vinny for your reply; she is currently under dependant visa for the old work permit holder.

She has been staying with me since October 2011 and I will be converting to ILR in January 2014 when she will also have stayed with me for more than 2 years.

She may apply for SET(O) on the same form as you, or separately afterwards, before her leave expires, subject to 196E.
