Hello All,
I am in ILR status and my wife visa status is ILR dependent (expiring in Sept 2013). We had our second baby 8 months before, so she couldn't travel back to UK. Recently we applied for ILR dependent for our baby.
I am a permanent employee in a UK based company working for 7 years now. So all of my documents are in place. For my wife ILR dependent status processing time was 3 months.
Applied date for little one: 10-Mar-2013
Till date status is " Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission"
Can you give a guide line of how long generally it takes for newborn baby's ILR dependent processing time?
Kind Regards
Kay

Thanks for giving contact email.
Still we haven't received replied from home office.
Our current status is "Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission"
When i applied ILR dependent visa for my wife it arrived on 10th week. So hopefully we are expecting any time this week / next week.
There has to be a clear explanation why visa is getting refused, in the refusal letter. Definitely baby cant get ILR (unless both are in ILR status) / Passport as baby is not born in UK.
But baby should be eligible to get ILR dependent, we have applied for ILR dependent only and not ILR.
And yes we are based in Chennai
Kind Regards
Kay

HI Kart,
Still our solicitor saying we can give for settlement visa category.
My case i have applied for FLR visa from uk. And they saying we should apply for settlement an wil get visa according to my visa category.
The reason i got refused is , due to some confusion we gave for visiting visa.
And now submitting again for Settlement visa.
Please update us ur visa status.
And try send them a mail requesting ur application progress. They will definetly reply if its a strong request.

Would the child already be a BC in your case assuming the child was born after you got ILR? In which case the refusal is correct.
