Hi all,
I am on Tier 2 visa and moved to Tier 2 using work permit transitional arrangements A in feb 2012. At that time salary requirement for my SOC was 15,641.
Now it is put in PhD SOC and salary requirement is 26,000 per annum.
My current salary is 19,000 and my ILR is due in coming january 2014. Will these new SOC effect my application? Should I be paid 26,000?
How come an employer can increase a pay 15,641 to 26,000 in 2 year time.
I am concerned will these new salary requirements affect my ILR application or not? Many thanks for your advice.

Does your Employer know about these changes after 06/04/2013. When I went to My PEO appointment CW printed the NEW SOC Code List. Then she compared with My Employer's letter for correct SOC code and salary.
I know this is a big increase for you with in 2 years. It all depends on how your Employer letter is worded. Whether CW will insit on the new SOC code I do not know.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for your reply.
My ex code was 2321 but it is now replaced by 2119 (PhD SOC).
My employer always consult me before issuing any letter. I was wondering in the employer letter can I mention SOC from NFQ level 3 or above list (green list) that is also similar to my ex SOC 2321 code.
3111 from NFQ level 3 list. Can I mention this code in the employer letter instead OR it should be only 2119 PhD SOC code? Thanks.

These changes are from 06/04/2013. My Employer immediately revised My salary. Which is not a big increase. I have seen in this Forum where people have got their ILR with their old SOC Codes . Read some of the experiences. For further advise Your Employer could call UKBA and check.
