ILR Postal application - recent timesline please?

Hiya,
I am on Tier1(Gen) Dependant VISA, in the UK for 27months in which 7 months outside UK for Maternity reason, I have a letter from my GP confirming this, do you think my ILR application will be approved? Also I am planning to apply by post, does anyone have a recent timelines on how long it takes to get the result of the application, I am asking this because my current VISA expires by 13/08/2013 so will need to extend my visa before expiry just incase my ILR application is rejected..
Also if I apply by post and if the application is rejected would I get refund?
