After 6 month mark

Hi All

Next month will be 6 month wait for me. Just wanted to ask how helpful/damaging to the application to do the following:
1. ask lawyers to send a letter inquiring on application status and asking to speed up
2. writing to MP complaining
3. faxing UKBA letter from my employer stating that i need my documents for business traveling

I am pretty sure any of the above wouldn't speed up the process, but I would not like to annoy CW so they would reject me...
Does anybody have any advice?

Hi,

I applied on 11th Jan 2013 on same day service and still waiting for the home office to come back. My solicitor keep following up with Croydon PEO supervisor but everytime she gets the same reply. It's in process. I have been advised by couple of friends to get in touch with the Local MP so that he can follow up with the home office. But i dont know whether it will effect my application or not.

You will definetely get a response if your MP writes to UKBA. Not a complainining letter. Mentioning that you need your documents for Business travelling and to speed up the process with your application.

It's very strange that UKBA have not made their decision in these 4 months. Did they ask for additionbal documents? Which PEO did you go to?

Just inquiring about your status will not make the CW annoyed, and more over there should be a reason to reject some one's visa, they cant reject just like that.

This is important documents. You should have given them at the time of the appointment. Do you have Contract Agreements for the work you do with the clients? Keep them ready. This is another document CW asks for some time.

Thank you guys for a helpful response!
In that case I would write a letter asking to expedite rather than complain :-)

Rarmunan, sounds awful! I hope it will work out fine in the end!

Hi Kevin,

I dont any contract but in case if CW asked for a contract then will prepare it as i have raised the invoice and received the money in my bank. Since there were three different account thats why the CW asked for the summary.

So you suggest me to contact my local MP and ask him to follow it up on my behalf.

@TheGreen Tea: Thanks, I pray that you also get your ILR very soon...
