ILR Due - Need advise on motor incident

Hi Guys,

I am on Tier 1 General visa and in process of applying for ILR on 21-June-13 at Croydon PEO. I have all documents in place for ILR. I have a query on minor motor incident that I had in February this year.

Basically I got involved in a minor accident where driver of the other car banged on my car from side a couple of times. We both stopped at the incident and other drive blamed me for his error. There was no witness to this incident and no Police was involved. As the person was uncooperative and not willing to accept his mistake somone passing through stopped and helped us in exchanging car reg details.

I informed my insurance company right away but ended up not making any claim at all as there was only a cosmetic damage to my car so thought I will get it repaired myself. Recently I had a letter from my insurance company stating that other party is holding me responsible for the incident. As far as I remember there wasn't any damage to his car.

My question is - is this something I need to declare on SET(O) form? Can this go against my application?

I am bit worried now as this letter has just come in before my ILR.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Maddie

This 'incident' is immaterial and not something that needs to be declared, stop worrying.

Agreed, people would make you responsible for everything they did.. so just chill..

As long as it has not gone to court or police is involved.. you should be fine..
