ILR Dependent visa scenario - Urgent help required

My dependents (Wife & Son) were on Tier2 ICT dependent visa and went out of country in Jun’2010 for 13 continuous months due to personal reasons. While they were away I have acquired my ILR and now I am holding British Citizen since past 6 months.

They joined me back in UK in July'2011 on same Tier2 ICT dependent visa and when I tried for their ILR we were asked to apply for FLR (M) first and then apply for ILR after 2 years. We applied and got FLR (M) issued on Sep'2011.

There are few questions / concerns I need urgent clarification on for their ILR application,

1) Can we apply for ILR counting 2 years from July'2011 when they entered back to UK on Tier2 ICT dependent visa or do I need to count 2 years from the date when they got FLR (M) issued?

2) My Son who is currently on FLR (M) is completing 18 years at end of Jun'2013, so under what rules he would be able to get his ILR after 18 years? Little worried as individual rules might apply once child complete 18 years??

Appreciate prompt help on this.

Regards

You can apply for settlement 28 days before satisfying the qualifying period. The time as a PBS dep could also be amalgamated with flr(m) to make two years in total by virtue of immigration rule 287(a)(i)(d).

For your son try applying before he turns 18 atleast postal application if not PEO.. and also you can only apply for settlement 28 days before satisfying the qualifying period as mentioned above.
