Hi
I applied for ILR along with my family in the month of April 2013. Its 2 months since I applied and I know there are many people here on this forum who are waiting after applying for more than 6 months.
My mother is sick back home and I want to go and see my Mother back home and I want to expedite my ILR application.
Can you please please please let me know, what all I should do like to get my application expedited like getting a letter from MP and/or email address of home office CEO or something like that and also actual email addresses. please please help me on this
Any members successful on doing this expedition route of ILR application.
I really need to go back home. please help me sir.
Your reply on this quickly is very much appreciated.
Regards
C

Bear in mind that I have no official documents to support this.
It is known that UKBA can expedite cases in certain compassionate and compelling circumstances, such as death or serious illness of a close relative. Documentary evidence must be provided in such circumstances.
- proof of your relationship (birth certificate)
- letter from the doctor explaining the nature of illness and why you need to be there
- a cover letter from yourself explaining your situation, your case reference number
Fax everything to UKBA/post it (recorded delivery) and hope for the best.

Check your acknowledgement letter from Home Office - that should state the address where your case is held (some applications are in Sheffield, some are in Liverpool). It should also state your case number (include that in your correspondence).
I don't think that there is a standard letter form - each case is different.
Just explain who you are (e.g. live in the UK, work at , applied for ILR once completed x years) and explain what happened (mother got v ill, see doctor's letter) and why you need to travel urgently. And ask if they could expedite your case on compassionate grounds.
