Eligibilty to travel

l am a family member(spouse) of EEA citizen and my resident document expires on 26th August 2013 but my Mother is very ill and I want to visit her for just one week before I apply for ILR. l would like to know if I can travel and return to the Uk without any immigration problems since my permit expires in about 2 months time
