Are you sure?

AFAIK, KOL Life in UK test doesn't exempt FLR(M) applicants from A1 requirement.

I would strongly suggest you read page 5 and 6 of the guide for FLR(M) applications (below)

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... 020091.pdf

She is not applying for ILR so therefore LIUK is not relevant. She needs to satisfy the English language requirement to A1 level for FLR(M). If she does not, she is likely to be refused.

Ok, well good luck with your wifes' FLR(M) application then!! Do let us know if your wife's FLR(M) is granted with only submitting LIUK certificate.

Out of interest, what is your and your wife's current visa status?
The moment the spouse gets the ILR, the partner's FLR(M) is invoked and hence needs to be tied up to the spouses's ILR.
So the partner can apply for ILR within 28 days of the spouse getting ILR.

Really?? How interesting!! Having been on FLR(M) myself, I thought that was a visa for the spouse of a settled (ILR) person. Your wife's FLR(M) will only be processed and granted once your ILR is granted.

chicogil wrote:YES it does. Read the LITUK certificate carefully. It clearly mentions that you have demonstrated that you have sufficient knowledge and significant level of English to apply for ILR and you dont need to give any other tests.
Why come on here and ask if you have the answers?

For FLR(m) you need to meet the English Language Requirement (click) and for settlement the KOLL requirement (click) unfortunately, as strange as it is, the LIUK is not accepted for flr(m) as you don't need to know about life in the UK just the English Language.
