ILR Granted - Solihull PEO 16/07

Dear Gurus,

I asked this question before, however, I require some reassurance.

EC Stamp Date: 11/08/2008 - 11/08/2010 Work Permit (issued in July 2008)
Arrival: 30/08/2008.
Tier 2 (ICT): 29/07/2010 - 22/07/2011 (same employer)
Tier 2 (General): 11/02/2011 - 03/01/2014 (new employer)

Total absences are 111 over 5 years.

I have booked the appointment on 15/07/2013 by calculating 28 days before the first EC stamp date. Is this correct ?

I have referred to the FAQs, but they are not very clear, hence, this post. Appreciate your time to read the above and respond.

Thank you
BQJT

All,

Thanks to this forum for the immense knowledge it provides.

Our ILR (myself + 2 dependents) was granted on 16/07 at Solihull PEO based on Work permit, Tier 2 (ICT) and Tier 2 (General) - changed jobs

First visa stamped in India on 11/08/08, arrived on 30/08/08, current visa valid until 03/01/2014. Calculated 28 days before the visa stamp date (as advised by other members on the forum and the UKBA guidelines).

Had our appointment at 9:40, but were let in at 8:55am.

9:00 - 9:30
Got seen by a case worker
Payment taken first, but before the payment was confirmed, she started looking at the application form - SET(O). I must say, the form filing is much simpler for Employer sponsored applicants.
Evidences provided:
Life in the UK (me and wife)
Original WP
One Payslip, 3 months bank statement
Employer letter
Cohabitation docs (i had lots of them, CW selected 3 randomly)
Days out of country were 111, provided letter from current employer, but none for the previous employer, CW was not interested in absence letters.
2 photos per applicant
Around 9:25, we got told our applications will be approved if nothing negative comes out of Biometrics.

9:30 - Gave fingerprints (took long time for my 9 year old)
9:50 - Got told that Biometrics are all clear. I can leave the building and they will call me when the documents are ready for collection.
11:30: Received a call on my cell phone asking to come and collect the documents & passports.
12:15 - Collected documents from reception

19/07: Cards arrived
22/07: MN1 sent for second son who was born in the UK.

Thanks again to all members who took time to read and respond to my earlier questions.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm trying to book the ILR appointment for SOlihull Office.
It is prompting me to pay the whole application fee of 1426 GBP in advance.

What I understand after reading the forum discussions is that one should pay in PEO office on the day of appointment. Is there any change recently regarding the payment process?

Request fast response please.

Regards
ILRGeneral

Many congratulations, I am trying to book my appointment and got query below that i am sure you can answer:

During the online booking process in a beginning a question they ask which confuse me.

Which category of leave are you applying for?

1 Tier 1 (General)
2 Tier 2
3 Other Main Applicant
4 Dependent

Right now I am on Tier 1(General) in my 5th year. My visa is about to finish in March 2014 So, I am going to applying for SET(O) for ILR.

Do you have any idea that which option do I need to choose.

Which application form are you using to make your application?* SET (O)
Which category of leave are you applying for?* Tier 1 General (We are asking this question to calculate the fee you need to pay. The SET(O) application form covers a number of categories of leave. You cannot book an appointment for some of these. More guidance is available.)
