NO TAX DEDUCTED IN SECOND JOB

Hi all,

I am due to apply for ILR in September this year.

I have a full time main job since last 4 years and took up a part time job (around 8 hours a week) over a year ago and still employed with them. I have already earned enough points so far to receive required points under the 'Previous earnings section'

I only realised last week that my second employer has put me on an incorrect tax code and has not been deducting any taxes, although I did mention to him at the start of the contract that this will be my second job.

How do I go about this whole affair and will this have any impact on my ILR?

I am going for a PEO appointment and have all the required pay slips, bank statements and letters from employers confirming salaries.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

With reference to my below query, I asked my second employer to put me on the right code. I also called up HMRC and explained to them situation about incorrect tax code. They sent me assessment form asking to pay the under tax payment for FY 2012-2013, which I will be doing shortly.

I have also taken a letter from my employer explaning I was inadvertently put on incorrect code and that it has been amended.

Is there any thing else I need to do?

Would you the experts please comment?

Thanks and Regards,

Is there any thing else I need to do?--Keep the proof of payment with you as well as the above letter which explains your situation and produce it to CW only if it is questioned . In my opinion you will be fine.
